Proto Shield, known in Japan as Blues Shield (ブルースシールド, Burūsu Shīrudo), is Mega Man's side special move in Super Smash Flash 2. He pulls out Proto Man's shield which hits the enemy for 4% damage and knockback at the end of the shield pulling animation. It can be kept out by holding the button which deflects all projectiles. However, after Mega Man pulls out the shield and the damage has been given, he becomes vulnerable to attacks. The attack is almost identical in effect to Pit's Mirror Shield in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
