Edytá Sokolowska was a Mesan slave trader and the commander of Manpower Incorporated's secret slave depot in the Casimir System. When Commander Honor Harrington of the Royal Manticoran Navy destroyer HMS Hawkwing challenged her to surrender the facility in 1899 PD, Sokolowska refused, and was shot in the head from behind by her own chief engineer, Kamil Mazur, who was unwilling to fight.
