The Halifax Crescents were a senior team. They played in the Halifax City League until 1928-29. The team was then revived in 1940-41. It played in the Maritime Senior Hockey League in 1945-46 and 1946-47. The Crescents won the league title in 1924-25, 1925-26, 1926-27, and 1927-28. An earlier version of the team challenged for the Stanley Cup in 1900. Another version was a junior team that played in the Halifax City Junior League in 1934-35.
