Woods (or forests) are a type of terrain feature in Civilization VI. They are found on Grassland, Plains or Tundra. * Yield Modifier: +1 File:Civ6Production.png Production * Increases Appeal of surrounding tiles. * Confers bonus to Defense for units fighting in them. The Conservation civic defines preexisting woods as "Old-growth Woods" (with increased Appeal), and permits Builders to plant "New-growth woods" (which retain their default Appeal rating).
