A whisperphone is a magical communication device that operates like a Muggle walkie-talkie, and looks like a pair of wooden cylinders the size of salt shakers. Each has a raised seam around its circumference, appearing to have been made by fastening two halves together. Each one has a rubber seal over one end and several holes drilled into the other. Users can speak into the end with the holes, and hear what's said into the other by placing the rubber end in their ears.
