Effete LaFoot was the temporary winch elevator operator on Skull Island. He was fairly short man with a peg leg, and tended to stutter often when spoken to. He revealed to Guybrush that he was unsure whether the elevator he was operating could hold Guybrush's weight. He also figured the maximum capacity of the elevator was roughly twenty pounds.
