Operation Eagle was an operation by the Co-op to help Israeli and Jewish refugees escape the wrath of Nicolae Carpathia following the desecration of the Temple by transporting them to Petra in the book "Desecration". It was named for Revelation 12:14 which speaks about "the woman clothed with the sun", which in the Left Behind books is figuratively Israel: But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.
