Patrick K. Ford is a modern scholar of medieval Welsh. Ford’s edition of the Mabinogion material is the first translation since Lady Charlotte Guest’s to include the Hanes Taliesin, translating the earliest version by Elis Gruddydd from the middle of the 16th century. It also includes the poem Cad Goddeu. It omits The Dream of Maxen Wledig, Gereint, the Lady of the Fountain, and Peredur.
