Chef Shimi is a character in the Super Mario series. He first appeared in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. He is a brown Cheep Cheep with a chef's hat, and he serves the upper-class passengers on the Excess Express their meals. His first language is Cheep Cheep, so he often uses the wrong word while talking any other language. In Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, someone steals his pot of stew, so Mario has to find out who it was. It turns out to be Heff T., an obese Toad. After returning the stew, Chef Shimi gives Mario a Star Piece. His name is a pun on 'sashimi', or raw fish.
