Godric Gryffindor was born at Godric's Hollow, a small West Country village in England. When he founded Hogwarts with the other three founders, he chose students that show traits of courage, determination, chivalry and strength of heart. He was friends with Salazar Slytherin which broke due to Godric Gryffindor accepting Muggle-borns into Hogwarts. It is unknown when or how he died but it is known that his portrait is still at Hogwarts and his sword still remains.
