The 1985 Coca-Cola 500 was a Winston Cup (now Nextel Cup) event held at Atlanta Motor Speedway on March 17, 1985. Bill Elliott dominated in front of his home crowd, leading the most laps and holding off Geoffrey Bodine by 2.64 seconds for victory. Bodine took the points lead with his finish, now thirty points on Neil Bonnett (3rd).
