Agile, raptor-like monsters which are fearsomely territorial and possess the ability to cause any living creature that looks at them to turn to stone. However, even Basilisks themselves are not immune to their petrifying gaze. Also, if a Basilisk is destroyed, all of its victims which were turned to stone within the previous 48 hours will return to normal with no memory of the attack.
