In late 2007 the DMSO was renamed the Modeling and Simulation Coordination Office (M&S CO). The M&S CO leads DoD M&S standardization efforts, is the DoD point of contact for coordinating M&S activities with NATO and Partnership for Peace (PfP) organizations, and provides support to the DoD M&S management system.
