A lugger is a sailing vessel used for fishing and is fitted with lugsails on two or more masts; sometimes with lug topsails.On a lugger, the sail is hung by a yard suspended by the halyard off-center so that the top side of the sail is at an angle and the sail lies fore and aft of the mast.
