The ray was a non-sentient, predatory scalefish native to the oceans of the Mid Rim planet Naboo and, after being introduced there, Naboo's moon Ohma-D'un. Rays teemed around the underwater city of Otoh Gunga, home to the Gungan species. Blue in color, rays were considered fast swimmers and impressive leapers due to a pronounced crescent-shaped caudal fin located at the back of their bodies.
