These horse archers use speed to sweep in, attack, and then ride out of range. The Mescalero Apache are a mountain people and, unusually for such a folk, highly skilled riders. Masters of irregular warfare, they have an intimate knowledge of the landscape, and concealment skills that give them an edge over enemies. The Mescalero Apache take full advantage of the environment, and recognize the importance of subterfuge and diversions when fighting a larger enemy force.
