Octopussy is a short story in the Octopussy and The Living Daylights collection of James Bond short stories by Ian Fleming, published posthumously in the United Kingdom and the United States by Glidrose Productions in 1966. The title story of the collection lent its name to the thirteenth James Bond film, which was released in 1983 and was the sixth film to star Roger Moore as the British Secret Service agent. The film adapted both "Octopussy" and "The Property of a Lady" from this collection. Other stories from this collection also provided source material for later Bond films.
