A hundred years prior The New World Trading Co. was just getting started. Adrian Faust and Kaiser Klause were its founders, and it was believed that Faust was once a fair trader. But the power of Faust's Bai Bai no Mi caused him to lose his humanity, and shortly after he tricked his partner Klause to use his own Okuri Okuri no Mi on himself thus trapping him. Faust continued to use his Bai Bai powers to keep his youth so he could grow the Trading Company into what it is today.
