Chyklings are the mutated offspring of the Dark Chykka. They are born from the enlarged abdomen of their darkling parent. As a result of the Dark Energy from the nearby Dark Water being absorbed into the Chykka, its infants are directly born as miniature adults, having jumped over the natural larval stage entirely. These Chyklings are very aggressive and will defend their mother at the cost of their own lives, similar to Fargul Wasps. They will fly in groups toward Samus and damage her on contact, which also kills the Chyklings themselves. She can destroy them for many pickups.
