Darren Maule appeared as a Nuisance Gambler in the 2008 spin-off DVD Coronation Street: Out of Africa. He is best known in his native South Africa for his comedy work, first physical and then stand-up, and with stints as a host on the game shows Out of the Box and Play TV. He also appeared in the drama series Hard Copy and the comedy series Uncle Max.
