The 1970 Dixie 500 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) event held at Atlanta Motor Speedway on August 2, 1970. Richard Petty dominated the event, leading 295 of the 328 laps in route to a one-lap, thirty-one second victory over Cale Yarborough.
