Sky 1 is the flagship channel, founded in 1982 and is operated and owned by Sky plc. It is the general entertainment channel operated in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It hosts shows, in the UK such as The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Lucky Man, The Simpsons, Modern Family and hundreds more. It was also the channel in the United Kingdom that aired The X-Files.
