Eric Ball (1888 - 14 April 1951) was a Territorial Army officer and local politician in the Lewisham area. The youngest son of Edward Ball of Westcourt, Lewisham Hill, in 1909 he received a commission as a second lieutenant in the 20th Battalion, London Regiment. During the First World War he rose to the rank of major. In 1921 he resigned his commission with the brevet rank of lieutenant-colonel. Following the war, he was involved in running the St Dunstan's charity for the rehabilitation of blind servicemen. He returned to the council in 1937 as an alderman, resigning on 25 January 1946.
