The equally favorable resolution of the proceeding Firestorm Crisis, the recovery of the Tacitus, and the fragmentation of Nod with the disappearance of Kane, put GDI in a position to effectively combat Tiberium. The defeat in the Second Tiberium War only delayed Nod's attempt to contact the Scrin. The Third Tiberium War would see the Brotherhood, and Kane, succeed through other means.
