Katik Shaw was a male Rutian from Rutia IV in the 24th century. Shaw was a member of the Ansata, a terrorist organization fighting for the freedom of their continent. While the police were aware of his ties, they could not convict him of a crime. Meanwhile, he worked as a waiter at the Lumar Cafe. In 2366, when the USS Enterprise-D was delivering medical supplies to Rutia IV, he witnessed a bombing outside the Lumar Cafe, and the abduction of Doctor Beverly Crusher. Shaw was later called into the police station for questioning on the topic, but claimed not to know anything.
