The Separatist War was a civil conflict that occurred on the planet of Ord Mantell during the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. In the aftermath of the Treaty of Coruscant and the end of the Great Galactic War, the corrupt government of Ord Mantell decided to remain loyal to the Republic, and the rise of a separatist movement among the people soon broke out into open conflict.
