Pokemon Battrio (ポケモンバトリオ) is an arcade game in Japan which features a unique method of play. Special coins are used on a sensor board to move the chosen Pokemon on those coins data chips. It's these coins which make it both a game and a collectable, much like the Trading Card Game. Coins are purchased through each use of the machine, which dispenses new, randomised coins with play. Others are issued through promotions such as movie releases, or are specially released in the Battrio visual guide books.
