A spaceship (called a "SpaceShip" in the original Civilization) is a vital part of most games covered in this wiki. All of the Civilization games in the main series allow you to achieve victory by winning the Space Race, which involves building a spaceship to colonize Alpha Centauri (or Mars, in Civilization VI). In Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, however, the game starts with you and six other factions already on board a spaceship about to land on a largely solid part of that star system.
