They become available after researching the Enlightenment Age and File:Military.png Military 4 (Conscription) from the Library. In comparison to the Musketeers they replace, Manchu Musketeers have +2 attack range and +2 Line of Sight. They also cost 10 File:Timber.jpg Timber less to train. Manchu Musketeers upgrade from Gunpowder Age Heavy Fire Lances. By upgrading, the unit receives +10 hit points and +2 attack strength.
