In the 80th year of the Pendulum Wars, the Ghato City was near the main battlefield between the invading COG and defending UIR. The city suffered heavy damage during a battle between Coalition of Ordered Governments and Union of Independent Republics forces. A squad led by Sgt. Marcus Fenix fought against a group of six Indie soldiers. The Gears were able to kill the Indies and drive the UIR out of the city.
