The Doshoweh Sentinel was the chief English-language newspaper in The Six Nations and operated out of the capital Doshoweh. In 1995 when The Two Georges was stolen, the ransom note included a photograph of the painting with a hand and arm thrusting a copy of the Sentinel with a headline on the theft in front of it.
