Volak was a Vulcan man who lived in the 24th century. Volak was the mate of T'Pas and the adoptive father of T'Pas's daughter, Soleta. Kirk before he could be absorbed into the Nexus, Volak was a subcommander aboard an Alliance vessel as part of a fleet under Tal; Tal ordered Volak to tell their fleet to stand down after identifying the USS Enterprise-D as not a threat.
