Kin Kimdyara was a male Human scientist. He had a habit of naming a new creature after another known one based on similar characteristics, then changing the name to something different. One creature he did this with was the long-necked gundark of Kharzet III. He found that the long-necked gundark had a foul temper reminiscent of the true gundark, though the two species were entirely unrelated, and had a completely different appearance.
