Phrik was a metal used by the Galactic Empire to armor its dark troopers. Phrik was extremely durable, capable of absorbing numerous blaster shots before melting. Phrik alloy was also used later by the New Republic in a limited amount to enforce armoring on their more advanced capital ships.
