Vanass is an inhabitable planet that was once home to a protoss colony. Some time after the Great War, the carrier Koramund received a distress call from Vanass, but it was a trap set by the treacherous lieutenant Tenzaal that led directly into a zerg ambush. The ship crashed on the planet's surface after its crystal matrix was damaged by a mutalisk.
