Carol Starks appeared in Coronation Street as Janet Powers, the mother of Sian Powers intermittently between September 2010 and December 2011. She trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama and was a regular in Family Affairs between 2003 and 2005. She has also appeared in Inspector Morse, Lipstick on Your Collar, May to December, Casualty, Peak Practice, Doctors, The Bill and New Tricks. Stage work includes Sweeney Todd at the National Theatre.
