Hida Rie was a Crab Clan bushi. Before her gempukku, all of Rie's immediate family save her mother and most of her relatives died in various battles with the Shadowlands. Rie felt lost and lived only to combat the Shadowlands. Because of this, she elected to join the Berserkers. Rie eventually was elevated to Nikutai of the 3rd squadron, second company, first legion of the First Army.
