Tikopai was a star located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants. Along with a binary star companion named Tutakai, Tikopai was part of the Tikopai binary star system in Federation space, located several parsecs from Earth. The Starfleet starship USS Tikopai and the Tikopai-subclass of vessels were named for this body. (ST reference: Star Fleet Technical Manual)
