Matsu Yunaki was the wife of Matsu Uniri and the mother of Matsu Tsuko and Matsu Hiroru. After the assassination of her husband, she became the general in charge of the Matsu troops during the Battle at Fate Gorge. In 1119 her daughter was engaged with Akodo Arasou, against Yunaki's opinion, but he died before the marriage. Three years after the opposed engagement, in 1122, Yunaki retired to a monastery, passing the Matsu leadership to her daughter.
