Edward Heyworth was a Dranian politician, former chairman of the the right-wing Grand National Party and former leader of the opposition. Heyworth assumed the position of party chairman in 3322, following the resignation of Jennifer Howard. Heyworth was noted for his call to go "back to the roots", meaning that the GNP shall aim at restoring the old order and repeal all reforms of the left-wing government of Unity and PAC. Heyworth considers himself an "old-style conservative", however he also said that he had "tolerant positions on social issues like marriage".
