Saris Uli was Director of the University of Sanbra's Hall of Biological Research. He was interviewed by HoloNet News in 22 BBY regarding the infestation of stone mites on Ord Tiddell. He explained that its genome strongly suggested that the creature was engineered, and that the patterning was "too artificial, too signature to have evolved purely by chance". Uli was devoted to finding who created the mites. He declined the theory that they were a biological weapon, and the result of intentional military genetic engineering, but rather that it might have been by accident.
