A galvened kinetic energy weapon(KEW)is a kinetic energy weapon(commonly known as 'slugthrowers') with galven circuitry integrated with the barrel. It is no more or less powerful than a laser cannon of equivalent size, merely requiring bullets instead of tibanna gas. Such weapons were used primarily to arm the Viper line of starfighters.
