He played for the junior Sioux Falls Stampede from 2004 to 2006. The Pittsburgh Penguins chose him 194th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. In March, 2010, he was traded to the Leafs for a sixth-round draft choice in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Peluso was with Bemidji State from 2006 to 2010. He has not played since.
