The Hearty Salmon is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is a curative item that restore Link's health by refilling four Heart Containers. Link can cook with it on an open flame or a very hot surface to make a Roasted Hearty Salmon which restores some heart containers, or prepare a Frozen Hearty Salmon in cold conditions which restores four heart containers. He can throw a Hearty Salmon into a cooking pot to prepare dishes granted with a "Hearty" effect temporarily increasing the maximum hearts, such as Hearty Salmon Meunière. It can also be cooked with "Hearty" small animals such as Hearty Blueshell Snail, and Monster parts to create a Hearty Elixir.
