The Raker class frigate was shaped like a curved "T", with two bar-shaped engine blocks at the sides of the T. At the junction between the two engines lay a third perpendicular bar, loaded with powerful sensor systems. Under this was a very small hangar with barely enough room for two scout fighters. Ahead of this was another long section with many more sensor and communication systems, as well as the ship's defensive armaments of twelve medium laser cannons, four turbolaser cannons, and two ion cannons. These ships usually operated in pairs to attack targets of Star Destroyer size.
