Rather than using the full power of the Vishnu technique, Ryoji condenses the entire being into the form of an ethereal sword, not only does this make's it easier on Ryoji himself but he can also use the sword for a much longer period of time than it's complete counterpart. Though in this form Vishnu loses much of its potential and abilities such as its sealing capabilities and shield, to compensate for this loss the ethereal sword's attacking power increases making it an effective weapon. He is able to wield the sword with great efficiency and is capable of cutting a large boulder in half with it.
