Ronon Dex is a Satedan from the planet Sateda in the Pegasus galaxy, who was forced for a time to act as a Runner which later brought him to the attention of the Atlantis expedition. He soon became a member of the Atlantis expedition on a permanent basis and later joined the First Atlantis Reconnaissance Team, replacing Lt. Aiden Ford.
