Lizzie is the name of a small wooden sailing boat, which is used by the Sodor Sailing Club. When their dinghy was washed out to sea and smashed up, Sir Topham Hatt held a visitor's day at the main station to raise money for the sailing club. It was such a success, that they had enough for a brand new dinghy. Whilst taking the dinghy to the works to have a name painted on it, Duck breaks down. Luckily, Elizabeth takes the children and their dinghy to the works. In return, the children name the boat "Lizzie", after Elizabeth.
