To activate a Heart-to-Heart, the character must have reached at least the required affinity with Cross and the character must not be in the active party. Most Heart-to-Hearts can only be accessed at a certain time of day. In addition, all Heart-to-Hearts with each character that have lower affinity requirements must be completed before activating the next. Some Heart-to-Hearts also require a specific pet in the BLADE Barracks, which can be changed when using the customization terminal in the barracks.
