Pickups After defeating the Fort William Canadiens in the western Memorial Cup semi finals, the Rangers were allowed three pick-ups from the MJHL. The Rangers selected defenseman Ken Stephanson from the Winnipeg Braves, center Bryan Hextall and right winger Gerry Kell from the Brandon Wheat Kings.
